Upon completing the fictional short film "We Are Better," the director Kai finds herself pondering whether the essence of the protagonist, Al, was authentically captured or merely a product of her superficial assumptions about a the life of a  young, exotic artist living in Berlin. 

Determined to uncover the truth, she embarks on a journey to shadow the life of Al—an impassioned artist originally from Angola but raised in Lisbon, known for his unruly nature. The quest takes her from Berlin to Lisbon, unraveling an unpredictable adventure that steers the course of the film toward the unknown.
